Wonders of the Imagination Science Exhibition

Science Fair Program

 

 

TIMETABLE

Saturday, March 1, 2003, Bedford Junior High School, Temperance, Michigan

8:00 a.m.      Students register and set up their projects.

9:00 a.m.      Judging and optional scheduled interviews

12:00 noon    Public viewing (Students may, but are not required to, stay at their exhibits during all or part of this period to talk with visitors about their projects.)

4:30 p.m.      Awards ceremony, hosted by Bill Werner, W.I.S.E. Science Fair Director

5:00 p.m.      Students remove their projects.  (Exhibits may not be removed from the science fair before 5:00 p.m., but must be removed no later than 5:30 p.m. or they will be discarded.)

 

LAYOUT

The science fair is laid out by grade level.  The label in the upper right corner of each project’s display board indicates the grade level and the entry number in that grade.  For example, project number 23 indicates a second grade project and the third project registered in that grade.

As Science Fair Director, I want to thank the following people and organizations for their generous support of the science fair:

• The students who showed interest and effort in entering the science fair, without whom there would be no W.I.S.E. 2003
• The parents of the students who entered the science fair, for encouraging them and working with them
• The parents of students who made cash contributions
• The judges—Nicole Carpenter, Bill Dumont, Auntaneshia Garry, and Marcia Krisher—for their diligent work in interviewing students and judging the projects.
• The organizations that contributed prizes—COSI-Toledo and Scientific American magazine
• Sharon Throm, Director of Community Education and Services for Bedford Public Schools, who provided the support of the Community Education Program in staging the science fair
• All my family, remembering the good family times we spent doing science fair projects together
