Information and Registration

Having hosted a very successful first chess tournament for sixty-four players at the Bedford Branch Library on March 22, 2003, the Monroe County Library System is organizing regularly scheduled tournaments. The tournaments are open to players of all ages and abilities.

The next four tournaments are as follows:

Chess Battle #2 - Saturday, November 22, 2003, Ida Branch Library, Ida, Michigan (10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., 3 rounds)

Chess Battle #3 - Saturday, January 10, 2004, Frenchtown-Dixie Branch Library, Monroe, Michigan (11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 5 rounds)

Chess Battle #4 - Saturday, March 13, 2004, Dundee Branch Library, Dundee, Michigan (10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., 3 rounds)

Chess Battle #5 - Saturday, May 8, 2004, Summerfield-Petersburg Branch Library, Petersburg, Michigan (11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., 5 rounds)

The registration period for each tournament ends one week prior to the tournament.

After completing your downloaded registration form, you may turn it in at any Monroe County Library System branch.
