15 September 2005: The two images I came up with for possible use in my "Arithmepoetic Analysis of Green" are "the world's first map" and the dictionary definition of "wedding" (literally a scrap with that definition torn out of a dictionary, as is the case with all my dictionary definitions in the series). Meanwhile, I was thinking about recalibration of the x- and y-axes, making one range from "winter" to "war," for instance. This for an offshoot of my divison of poetry sequence. The idea would be to make opposites out of pairs most people would not consider opposites. How about the Ace of Spades as the opposite of "swimming?" I hope I explore this further. One obvious exploitation suggests itself, to wit: defining points along an axis as "war," "blueberries," "Max Headroom."
While thinking about how to make my mathemaku controversial and thereby getting publicity, I began to consider using not images for my terms but ideas. I only thought of one, though, before deciding I was against it: "a religion in which reverence is mandatory, kneeling forbidden."
