4 September 2005: the poem below is by Nico Vassilakis. "= c" is its title. I don't know what to make of it yet, but like it--and understand the mathematical equation (even though c does not equal one-half times zero but two-thirds times zero!)

I note the i's and the instances of "eye," and the fact that "c" is pronounced "see." I'm not sure how the o's, zeroes and instances of "oh" fit in. I get a sense of a lot going on. A strong suggestion of gears. I like the image of what seems to me o's breaking through lines made up of dashes. Meanwhile, in the upper left, the o's stacked between lines of vertical dashes. With an o squeezed between two dashes in what looks like a sort of arithmetic example at the left. A Klee machine, for one thing, with--for me--the equation as its result.
