Daily Notes on Poetry & Related Matters

6 February 2005: Today's mathemaku is another that I made yesterday as a variation on "Frame 10" of my "Long Division of Poetry" series. I like it even less than I like my valentine poem. But here it is, anyway--again, with the set-up poem preceding it:

I think I'm hoping someone will say, "Hey, don't be so down on yourself, Bob--your valentine and truth poems are GREAT!"

14 October 2006 note: not only did no one tell me my poems were great, but no one even told me I had "your" as "tour!" What kind of fans do I have, anyway!!?

By the way, I consider the level of creativity involved in offshoots of my poems like the truth one to be pretty much exactly at the level of that involved in the best cartoonists' and comicstrip composers' offerings--which is not to belittle what I do, but give proper credit to cartoonists and comicstrip composers. I've always thought the best work of the best latter artists is equal to anything by any of kind of artist.
