Daily Notes on Poetry

2 October 2004. I'm back. A day early, actually, but I won't post this till tomorrow. At that time, I'll probably write my entry for today! My aim is to write one regular entry daily from now on plus a fill-in. The fill-ins, except for the one for 1 October, will start with one for 14 August, the day after Hurricane Charley. From that date until today, 1 October, I posted only four entries. So I have around forty entries to do. There's no truly rational reason I should have one entry for every day since the day I began, but I'm the kind of person who needs that kind of completeness in projects of this kind. I'm hoping being required to do the missing entries will help get me back in some kind of writing rhythm, too. At present, I feel very much out of it. This particular entry is coming jerkily, but it feels good to be writing it.

I've taken the four post-hurricane entries offline, by the way. I'll wait to bring back the links to them until I reach each day they're for with my fill-ins. One of them (the one for 16 September) has a new Paint Shop exercise of mine that I think is pretty good, though, so I'm posting it here as a . . . postview?
