Daily Notes on Poetry

28 August 2004. My mind was blank by the time I tried to make an entry for this date so I went to my old standby, Paint Shop. I used the color that was available at the time and made my dividend shed, which I liked. It seemed sort of clay/organic. I was going to divide by "rent" but "1912" was in the slot where one puts a text to be printed, so I divided by it. I used "rent," the word that had first come to mind when I asked myself for a word, as the dividend. Next a splotch later negativized for the quotient, and whatever I put in as the product of the quotient and divisor, which I've already forgotten although I plugged it in just five minutes ago. A little swirl of color for the remainder. I'll be amazed if I can ever make anything of it--with the exception of the dividend shed, which I very much hope to reuse.
