26 June 2004. Here's the second piece I made yesterday. It's basically a collage of two or three of the works in 12 Colorborations. I made it because of an invitation to submit work to be auctioned off by the local arts and humanities council. They'd get a cut of whatever price I got for a work, but I'd get a proper amount, too. I didn't feel I had anything that I could let go for the kind of prices they'd likely get (under $200)--or, really, for any price more than five or ten dollars. Then, I had the inspiration to let them auction a copy of 12 Colorborations. That led to the idea of my doing a special, unique cover, for the copy to be sold. The work below, which didn't seem too hot to me, was my first attempt at that:
