28 April 2004. Yesterday, I was at Paint Shop for a while after not visiting it very often in the previous week or more. I made a slight new kind of mathemaku. Its name says about as much about it as need be said: "Prelude to a Mathemaku, No. 1":
Today, I added a drawing of a young woman's head. It came out primitive/interesting, I thought, but too crude to use. I want to have something representational or semi-representational (and large) in the piece--to suggest the roots of mathemaku in "real life." I may use some old drawing of mine, or steal something from Picasso or someone. . . .
