This entry will consist of little but a poem I wrote yesterday and rewrote today in response to a challenge to all comers to write a poem in the same fragmented style as a portion of a poem by Jorie Graham someone had earlier posted, and equal to it. The person making the challenge was miffed at the criticism the fragment had gotten from some. He was of the school whose members idiotically believe that if you can't do better than someone at something, you are unqualified to judge that person's competence. I will have more to say about the affair and my poem, which I hope to continue to rework, in tomorrow's entry. My drafts follow, the later one first:
