It is generally believed that the fatal shots came from the "sniper's nest" on the sixth floor of the Book Depository (see photo inset). As was widely reported, investigators recovered the rifle there, hidden behind some boxes. But most investigations have overlooked the significance of other artifacts found at the site -- such as a change of sneakers and a folded cardigan. Perhaps most telling, someone had scrawled "THE FRIDAY FRIDAY DIES" on one of the boxes nearby. A reference to Friday, November 22, 1963 and to King Friday XIII? No one will ever know for certain.
