Bert As The Statue Of Liberty & the Sfinks
In keeping with his "Be Seen, Be Discreet" concept, Bert managed to display his LARGE likeness atop the Satue Of Liberty on America's
200th Anniversary back in 1976. Originally, he was trying to work out a deal with then President Nixon to be on the back of the redesigned QUARTER.
However, Nixon rejected the idea. Sort of makes you wonder how they found out about WATERGATE, doesn't it?? Can you say, "bug"?
Here we can see Bert following the same concept, as the Sfinks in Giza, Egypt. The motive for this act is still unknown.
