David Stiff scored a team-high 21 points on 8-for-11 shooting and grabbed four boards before fouling out as North Melbourne extended its season-opening winning streak to three games. Behind five points at intermission, the Giants rallied using a 14-2 burst to take the lead by the end of third quarter. The Falcons came within four points down the stretch, but that was as close as they came. "It was ugly but three from three is a great way to start the season," North Melbourne coach Brett Brown said.
