WILLIAMSON 6 KM HANDICAP AND TEAMS RACE
Old Scotch scored its tenth win at this event and Old Geelong had its first ever win in the female section.
Julian Dwyer broke the St. Kevin’s record with his 18:54. Simone Braakhuis bettered her own Old Geelong record for the event with 22:53 and Natalie Kelly took 23 seconds off the Old Haileybury best. Belinda Meredith with 27:57 broke Melissa Hendy’s Old Brighton record.
On the teams aspect of the race, St. Kevin’s (108 points) and Old Wesley (198 points) set best club points scores in the Open category while host Old Haileybury equalled its best placing in the event – 2nd for the fifth consecutive year. Old Geelong’s 21 points in the women’s category was its lowest points score for the event.
