Step 1 in this process is to establish a support network for racers at all levels and abilities. This site is intended to be a starting point for building such a network. The goal is to bring together racers, companies and enthusiasts in order to provide cross-country ski racing in North America the support it needs.
You are encouraged to join this effort by becoming a VSC member absolutely free of charge and obligations. Or, you can get your own page like this from Geocities and start something on your own. Or, you can send suggestions, comments and criticisms using the form below. Or, you can just keep helping out and let me know what you're doing by sending me an e-mail message to the address below.
The internet lends itself to an effort like this. It's cheap (or free), easy to access, and effective in reaching everyone interested in the sport. North America is big and this is a small sport but you'll soon see after surfing the net that there are alot of people interested in ski racing! Since it so hard to organize anything or get anything accomplished from the top down I thought a bottom up approach would be better. If nothing else there maybe a few more people wearing T-shirts in the years to come.
As a first step in bringing VSC to life I will simply maintain a resources directory.
This will be a list of member racers, clubs, teams and companies, and what they have to offer .
Members join (free of charge) by simply adding their name (at least) to the directiory. The more information
we have in the directory, the more possibilties there are. For example :
These are just ideas. What actually happens will depend on what information comes in. As more people join
(if any) categories can be established for easy searching. Again, anything is possible! To join you can simply send
me an e-mail with your name. Even if you don't have anything to add to the directory yet , send in your name
if you think this sounds like a good idea. There is a membership form below. I made it vague on purpose so
you can feel free to list what you want. My suggestion is that you go to Geocities and get a free
e-mail account if you don't already have one or a free home page .

Welcome to Virtual Ski Club !
Vitrtual Ski Club (VSC) is intended to be a resource site for North America's cross country
ski racing community. VSC was organized as a networking tool for racers, coaches, sponsors and
anyone else interested in cross country ski racing. It is intended to be
non-denominational. By this I mean anyone can join, individuals, clubs, teams
and companies (although VSC maintains no commercial ties). It does not take the place of a real club or
team, it is merely a site for gathering information. In VSC freedom of speech and information rule.
What VSC does is really up to its members. Some possible uses for VSC could be to:
Go to the Resource Directory.
