So today is the last day at my job. I accepted a position as the Director of Sales of a direct competitor. So for me personally it is a promotion and a raise. But it is also a sad day since I have worked with some really great people for the past 4 years. I have made friends that will always be special to me. My boss and his boss were very cordial. They congratulated me and said that this was a great move. It is always nice to have the blessing of your employer when you accept another position. I will be taking on the new responsibility of supervising a team of managers, so I will have to walk and talk knowing that I will be looked to as an example. It will be fun learning new things and managing people again!
