A horse that is remarkably close to Wifey(dam of Satiety,BM sire of Rabelais) is Thurio(the sire of Padua, whom Blue Larkspur is inbred to(Note:Padua's BM sire Paul Jones is a son of Buccaneer!)) Thurio is by Cremorne x Verona (Orlando x Iodine by Ion) Iodene's 2nd dam is Electress. Wifey is by Cremorne x Lady Mary(Orlando) whose 2nd dam is also Electress. I find it interesting that Blue Larkspur makes an appearance in the dam of Sea-Bird's best runner, Allez Fance.

Going back to Sea-Bird, and his dam Sicalade.
Sicalade(Sicambre x Marmelade by Maurepas) carries two very similarily bred individuals that I must make a note of.
Sicambre's 2nd dam Suavita and Marmelade's damsire Biribi are very closely related. Biribi is by Rabelais x La Bidouze(Chouberski(Gardefeu x Campanale(The Bard x St. Lucia by Rosicrucian))x La Bidossoa(Cheri x Semendria by Le Sancy)) Suavita is by Alcantara II(Perth x Toison D'Or(Le Sancy x Harfleur II(Archiduc x Hauteur(also the ancestress of Dark Ronald, whose BM sire is  Thurio.) by Rosicrucian)) x Shocking (Rabelais x Saperlipopette by Cheri). ( Note:Maurepas' 2nd dam Reine Mab is by Rabelais and out of a mare by Le Sancy.)
Another factor I must note regarding the ties between Sicalade and Dan Cupid is the fact that Sickle's dam, Selene, is linebred to Canterbury Pilgrim, who is by The Earl, a full brother to Rosricrucian.

The last, and maybe the most important, issue regarding Rabelais is his female line. His fouth dam, Slander is direct descendant of the great broodmare Banter, whose influence on the breed rivals Pocahontas. Banter is from the mare Boadicea, who had a full sister named Berenice. These two sisters carried on lineage that had a great impact on the breed. Banter is the dam of the ever influential Touchstone and the mare Jocose(Whose great son Macaroni sired daughters that gave Bend Or his legendary status.) Berenice is the ancestress of Wild Oats and Buccaneer. Buccaneer is in the pedigrees of the legendary genetic influences, Selene, Radium(One of the few Bend Or's without Macaroni, but still has ties to Banter's family due to the presence of Buccaneer and Touchstone),Padua and Touchet, just to name a few.  Slander(by Pantaloon) is a 3/4 sister to Jocose(Pantaloon x Banter) and her dam, Pasquinade(Camel x Banter) is a full sister to Touchstone!
Considering these factors, I looked over some of the stakes winners sired by Sea-Bird.

As noted before, Allez France's dam, Priceless Gem, carries Blue Larkspur through her sire, whose dam is by a son of Blue Larkspur. While this is most important, the factor that I find quite interesting is the linebreeding to Ben Brush(Bramble x Roseville by Reform) and the pedigree of her 2nd dam, Big Hurry(Black Toney x La Troienne by Teddy).
Ben Brush's sire Bramble  is out of the mare Ivy Leaf, whose paternal grandsire, West Australian, is out of a mare by Touchstone, and Roseville is by Reform, who may be the more important factor here, considering the fact that Reform's 3rd dam, Caricature, is a full sister to Slander, and his sire, Leamington, can boast that his 4th dam, Etiquette,  is a full sister to Banter!
Big Hurry's sire, Black Toney is by Peter Pan and from Belgravia by Ben Brush. The relationship with Ben Brush has been noted, but the Peter Pan factor is also very intiguing.
Peter Pan(Commando x Cinderella by Hermit) carries numerous ties to the Banter family. Commando's BM sire, Darebin is a paticularly interesting factor. Darebin is by The Peer, whose dam is by Touchstone(Camel x Banter) and from a mare by Pantaloon, in addition, Darebin's dam, Lurline, is by Traducer who is by The Libel(Pantaloon x Pasquinade), who, in turn, is a full brother to Slander! It doesn't stop there because Lurline's dam, Mermaid, is by King Tom(Same BM sire as St. Simon, sire of Rabelais) and from Waterwitch, whose dam, Evening Star is by Touchstone and from Bertha, a 1/2 sister to Banter! It must also be mentioned that Cammando's sire Domino is from a mare that is a paternal granddaughter of Leamington.
Cinderella is by Hermit, a paternal grandson of Touchstone, and her dam is by See Saw(by Buccaneer!!).Cinerella's 2nd dam, Mabille is a full sister to Cremorne(remember Wifey and Thurio)!!! It must be noted that Cremorne's sire Parmesan is bred very similarily to Macaroni. Both are by Sweetmeat and carry ties to Banter. Macaroni is out of Jocose and Parmesan's 2nd dam is by Touchstone.
Getting back to Big Hurry, it must be noted that her dam, La Troienne, is carrying 4 individuals by Macaroni in her genetic makeup.

Polynesian(BM sire of Luiana) is a decendant of Jocose and Pot Au Feu(sire of Luiana's 2nd dam) is a descendant of Bertha, Banter's full sister.

Double Jay(sire of Ole Liz) is a direct descendant of Pantaloon Mare, a full sister to Pasquinade, and his 5th dam, Fine Lady, is by Darebin. Ultimus is a decendant of Banter's 1/2 sister, Etiquette, as is Pilate, the sire of Eight Thirty(BM sire of Ole Liz's 2nd dam).The 3rd dam of Ole Liz is by Sickle, and Double Jay is a paternal grandson of Black Toney. One other interesting factor is that Balladier carries 3 strains of See Saw. Considering the strains of Sickle in Sea-Bird's sire and the numerous connections to the back strains of Selene and Rabelais along with the additional ties from Double Jay concerning the Banter family and the  appearances of See Saw, it is no wonder that Kittwake is, so far, IMO Sea-Bird's best producer.

One last mention on the factors of Sainfoin, Sundridge, and Phalaris, is that they all carry Springfield. I mentioned Springfield earlier as being by St. Albans. St. Albans shares family ties with Thurio and Wifey. That means there are deceptively clever connections between Blue Larkspur, Hurry On, Dark Ronald, Rabelais, and Sunstar(who carries Loved One(See Saw x Pilgrimage by The Earl). Phalaris is inbred to Springfield, and the brother/sister combo of Sainfoin and Sierra represent his most potent progeny.  This connection to Rabelais is most important in regards to Sea-Bird.

Whew!!! I haven't even covered the Pocahontas factor yet.
