Game report for 07/15/99
Three peat! Three peat! Three peat! Okay so that usually means the winning three consecutive championship, but in our case it signify that we have won three times in a row. A milestone in achievement for our young team, which started with three, loses. We are now playing like champs.
We have won by crushing the ball (twice) and by playing good defense and timely hitting. (Strange how Anderson’s name keep popping up in the last two games with two clutch hits). We’re starting to click offensively (with a couple of exception .. me mostly) and defensively. We have IMO the best outfield in the league. Not to be outdone, our infielders did a tremendous job and turning plays and almost double plays. (thank you Rich and Dave for the outfield suggestions) We pounded the ball well in the first inning and never looked back. They did make an attempt at being competitive but timely hitting and a good batting order (okay I’m pumping my ego here) kept us in the game. The final kick in the teeth for the other team came when Sean doubled over the right field fence to give us our first ever Mercy rule win! Sure they said it was a good game, but I betcha they went crying to their mommy after the merciless beating we gave them.
