The bad guys were wearing black of course, the good guys wearing white; we were the underdogs, so to speak. Our bats at the beginning of the game were as limp as Bill Clinton after a good cigar break. We were down by four after the first inning. Scored two at the top of second thanks to some well-placed strokes. The innings from second to seven was a bit of a blur, maybe it was because it was like watching golf or watching old time defensive hockey. The scoring was kept to a minimal, the hits just the same. Their pitcher couldn’t find home plate if you gave him a guide dog, a magnifying glass, and lighted path to the plate. He stunk, but we weren’t able to fully capitalize on his disability. Down by two at the top of seven, we were able to score two more to tie the game thanks to some timely hitting by Sean Anderson (me think he could of driven in the winning run). We somehow added one more (I don’t have the score book so I couldn’t tell you who score the winning run) but the heros of the game is all of us and especially the trio of Andrew Zibuck (diving to his left for the final out), Scott Smith (several catches in the LF), and Doug (don’t know your last name bud, but you did great at 3rd).

Here is the lineup for the night

Don "Why the hell did you put me in 2nd" Capuano, 2b

Pete "It doesn’t matter where you put me in the batting order" Krueger, SS

Doug "throw’em to 1st for the outs – don’t know your last name" buddy of Malone, 3b

Rich "I actually like pitching" Champlin, P

Andrew "I’m getting old" Zibuck, LCF

Dave "snagged them out of the dirt" Laveck, 1b

Dave "yah yah, you know it’s me" Wong, DH

Scott "Are you sure I should play 3rd" Smith, LF

Robert "I really want to buy that glove" DeMarle, RF

Shawn "run them down like a cheap street vendor without a license" Malone, C

Sean "Freakin Guy, next time I’m going to run him down on 1st base" Anderson, RCF

*(From Chandra's point of view)

I do the stats. I just send them to Dave to put on the DL and he takes all

the credit. amazing as it sounds, I have made one or two mistakes in my

life, so it's possible that when you look at your stats, something might not

be right. let me know and I'll look over the book and make changes as

necessary. I won't even get grumpy (at least not too grumpy).

I added Scott and Doug only at the bottom of the Game 5 stats, and they are

not on the "total" page. I did this because they will likely only play that

one game, and I'd have to redo the entire "total" page to fit them in. If

they end up playing more games, I'll add them in so they get all the

averages. Z (Andrew Zibuck, aka man in red covering the entire outfield,

aka Biff) is on the Total page because he has agreed to take Mark Golemb's

empty place whenever possible.

have great weekends everybody.
