Staring at an O for 3 start, I was disappointed with our record, it should
have been at least 2 and 1, but why dwell on the past? Our opponent was
JoBeth, a company of sluggers who can't field a bean bag tossed at them. We
had a very shaky start, with the Bethies scoring 4 runs, but that was the
biggest margin of lead they would have during the game as we pounded them
for a grand total of 24 runs, some of which were lucky when their outfielder
apparently caught the ball but then dropped it. A special mention goes out
to George Murphy who was willing to sit out the game and cheer us on. Thank
You George, you're a good guy! The line up were
Don "I was safe at 2nd" Capuano, RCF
Dave "imitation of a pylon when I'm at bat" Wong, 2nd base
Sean "anyone want some plastics" Anderson, LCF
Rich "I'm getting on base this time" Champlin, P
Pete "I'll find a different way home" Krueger, SS
Dave "Gotta pick up my wife after the game" Laveck, 1B
Steve "I'll fax you the schedule Sean" MacLean, LF
Bob "Listen and vote for 3FU at Milestone" DeMarle, RCF
Rich "What did I do wrong Dave?" DiGregorio, RF
Joe "vacating at the 1K isles" Rotolo, 3B
Shawn "hey I saw you at the Red Wings' game" Malone, C
Our next game is this Thursday, field 4, at 8:15, I know Steve and Joe won't
be there, so I need everyone to show up for the game.
p.s. Special special thanks to everyone that came out afterward to cheer
Chandra and my anniversary. Thank you, thank you!
