Beer Beer Beautiful Beer, for those who appreciate this special alcoholic beverage and the marketing blitz the beer company come up with, I salute ye, and now you're thinking, what the hell did our Captain smoked this morning, well, let's put it this way, the Question to the answer is... What we were drinking to numb the pain of our third consecutive lost. But for those of us who does not appreciate this fine beverage and the waitress (I mean the server, her name is Mary Ann at Sportspage on Monroe who happens to serve very delicious and reasonably priced meal) who serve us these golden brew, which coincidentally happens to be the colour (oh nevermind, I am really digressing here)
Anyways on to our game report, 1st inning, Rich Champlin clobbered a beautiful right field homer that passed Culver, (we're playing on field 1) score 2, the other team, one hit, the rest boom boom boom, brushed our hands and went to bat again, Laveck got a nice base hit, Bob followed up with a fielder's choice, same with George, the pressure was on me, I had to get something going because the next AB was an automatic out, got a double, unfortunately we didn't score any run, the other team, boom boom boom again, score still 2-0,
3rd inning, top of the order, we banged the ball everywhere, like Jeff George being manhandled by some really good defensive football team, score at this point 6-0, this is where it gets a little fuzzy, everything was in a really slow motion, like those black and white movie without sound they scored 5 runs, how did they do it, I have no idea, but they did it, score 6-5, we couldn't afford another bad inning, and we needed to score more runs, unfortunately, we loaded up on too much sugar and didn't have any pop in our bats left, as we were outscored 4-2 to end the game at 9-8 lost. I am no Anthony Robbins, or Don Dupre for that matter, but we should of won that game. so stareing at a 0-3 start, we got to come together after our mini-break and put together a nice winning streak, we can do it.
Treat of the week, brownie with alcohol in them
on a sad note, Mark Golemb has resigned from the team due to unavoidable conflicts, in his place will be Andrew Zibuck who will play as many game as possible, his first game will be on July 8th with us.
