I started in Atlantic City radio at 1360 WMID-AM. WMID-AM was a big-band station. This is where I got an appreciation for big band music. At first I got to say the weather two times an hour while running a nationally syndicated radio show. I mainly worked Saturday mornings and all holidays. I then got to DJ my own shift a few hours a weekend. I moved to the FM after two years and got to play "adult contemporary" music for about a year.

I then got a job working weekends for 100.7 WZXLin Wildwood, New Jersey (Rock format) where I was a DJ under the name of "Ryan Walker". It was the highest rated rock station in the area. I played rock music all weekend to start there and had an all-request show. My last summer there I was on from 10am until 3pm Monday thru Friday. I hated leaving this job, but it just didn't pay enough to keep driving down to Wildwood, so I left at the end of the summer and moved in to TV broadcasting. Since I worked their, the station has moved to Atlantic City, New Jersey.

A lot of people dont realize in radio today all the music is programmed for the DJ to play. When I got to the station, I grabbed the "playlist" for my show and collected the CD's. When I got on-the-air, I knew what I was goin to play for the next five hours because all the songs were listed on the playlist for me
