I started working for ESPN Radio Nationally in 2001 as a
game-day reporter for Philadelphia. I report live to ESPN Radio heard nationally as to what the Philadelphia team that I covering is doing scorewise. I can be heard nationally two or three times per hour during a game I am covering depending on the importance of the game. My main responsibilities involve the four pro teams of Philadelphia (Eagles, Phillies, Flyers, Sixers), but I have also covered Villanova, St. Joe's and Temple Basketball.
After the game I go into the lockeroom of both teams to get voice-cuts that I send back to ESPN radio for later newscasts. I edit their voice cuts digitally on my computer before I send them to ESPN. I am also responsible for getting a live guest from the winning team for a live interview with the national host.
This job is very challenging and has greatly helped my producer skills.
