Conference Meet

The Marshfield Sharks hosted the Central Wisconsin Conference Meet over the weekend. Marshfield recorded a 4th place finish, their best ever conference finish.  Many swimmers improved on their best times. But for many swimmers it was a tale of coming up just short. With many swimmers achieving their best times they were just tenths of a second out of first place. Mahriah Alf had no problems in the 200 I.M. or the 100 Breast where she was close to her best times.  Anne Melvin and Krista Melvin swam well for the Sharks with Krista finishing second in the 100 Back with a time of 1:03.22 and second in the 200 Free with a time of 2:03.89. Anne finished the 100 Fly with a time of 1:04.23. The 200 Free Relay team of Krista Dejarlais, Alf, Krista Melvin and Anne Melin were just two tenths off the National qualifing time for the second week in a row.  The sharks also had several in records over the weekend.
