Tigers Compete at State

The Tigers competed at the State meet over the weekend. Qualifiers included Mahriah Alf, Krista DeJarlais, Dana Hoehn and Michelle Uthmier. Alf and DeJarlais were the only individual qualifiers. Mahriah Alf competing in the 200 I.M. placed 13th with a time of 2:14.01. Her 200 time was near her best time ever. Alf also competed in the 100 Breaststroke where she placed 16th with a time of 1:10.08 also near her best time. DeJarlais who swam in the 50 free placed 19th with a time of 25.88. In the 100 free whe placed 19th again with a time of 56.07. In the 400 free relay the team placed 18th with a time of 3:51.18 improving two seconds off their best time. The Relay team went into the meet seeded 24th. After two disqualifications in the final heat and with them improving their time the team jumped up spots.  Head Coach Dave Scheuer said that he was happy the girls could finish off their season at the state meet. He added" This was the girls goal all season. We had to make a few adjustments with their taper but that didn't effect them at all. They all swam very good races."
