Andy Kowske: B-
Didn't play much due to the score disparity, but played pretty well when he was out there. He was very active underneath against the overmatched NW front line.
Charlie Wills: C
Like Kowske, saw limited time due to the game situation. Unlike Kowske though, Wills was a little sloppy with the ball, including one very bad ill-advised cross court pass that was intercepted.
Roy Boone: B+
Another solid effort for Roy, especially from the perimeter where he hit some tough jump shot on his way to 17 points. He also did a nice job of utilizing his strength to finish some interior shots and in transition. He also was excellent on the glass (9 boards) and added 3 assists.
Kirk Penney: D
After a torrid streak, Penney's shot wasn't falling (1 for 5 from beyond the arc), though to his credit he didn't force many. What was more worrisome was his team high 5 turnovers.
Mike Kelley: B
Kelley was aggressive on his cuts, allowing him to attack the basket and score 7 points in only 25 minutes. He also did not register a turnover. Defensively, he frustrated Winston Blake, limiting his shots and pushing him a step beyond where he was comfortable.
Freddie Owens: B
Owens did a nice job of pushing the ball into the lane, where he was able to also finish 2 of them. Did not pressure the ball as much as Kelley and Boone had been, but did not falter defensively in any serious way.
Mark Vershaw: B
While Vershaw did not hit a field goal, including 3 misses from inside (and another in which he was fouled but should have finished), his passing was the key to the Badger offense. He had 5 assists in only 21 minutes and continually hit the backdoor cuts to loosen up the Cat defense. He also was solid on the boards with 6.
Maurice Linton: B
Another good effort for Maurice. He was super on the offensive boards with 3 putbacks in the first half and had 10 points and 6 rebounds for the game. Other than one bad traveling call, he was also more secure with the ball and did not force play.
Travon Davis: B
NW didn't have anyone with Travon's quickness and he made them pay with numerous quick slashes to the hoop, opening up passing lanes for Davis to dish the ball. Only made 1 of 4 free throws but made up for it with 5 rebounds.
Dave Mader: C+
Very physical on the glass, but seemed fairly lost on offense until a nice turn around jumper in the lane.
Pete Schmit: B
Missed his only shot from the perimeter, but had an assist and a steal in limited time.
Ike Ukawuba, Kyle Grusczynski: INC
Kyle made both of his free throws.
