Here are the game grades:
Roy Boone: D+
Boone just appeared out of rhythm all night long. It wasn't even that he was out of control or that he forced things that much. He just was a step or two out of sync. He only shot 2 of 8 overall. Roy did defend solidly on the perimeter.
Andy Kowske: D-
One of Kowske's worst games of recent memory. He was not a factor at all offensively, contributed only 1 rebound in 21 foul plagued minutes, and committed 3 turnovers. What saved his grade from an "F" was the fact that he defended Haston pretty well down the stretch (though with the help of double teams).
Charlie Wills: C-
Was solid on the glass (5 boards) and hit a key jumper late in the game, but was also generally a non-factor offensively other than the occasional turnover.
Kirk Penney: B+
Kirk's second half shooting got the Badgers back in the game. He was 6 of 10 from the field and also added a career high 7 rebounds. Also of importance was that he did not commit a single turnover.
Mike Kelley: B+
Didn't take a shot from the field and yet was a key contributor. He totally shut down Tom Coverdale until switching to Jeffries and controlling him as well. He hit a pair of key free throws down the strech and had his usual assist to turnover ratio of 4 to 1.
Mark Vershaw: C-
Vershaw once again failed to develop a consistent low post threat, getting only 5 shots overall. He was also not a factor on the interior defensively, with only 3 rebounds in 26+ minutes.
Maurice Linton: B
Linton gave a big offensive spark, hitting the mid range jumper consistently. His greater contribution may have been defensively however as he did a great job rebounding and added 3 blocked shots, one of which may have been the key defensive play of the game.
Travon Davis: C
Gave the team 7 steady but unspectacular minutes.
Dave Mader: B
Gave the team a very brief spurt with a quick 3 points in limited minutes.
