Andy: The following Inoki Cup semi-final match is set for one fall witha thirty minute time limit! Introducing first, from Atlanta, Georgia,weighing 276 pounds, "The Golden Boy" Johnny Smith! Dan: If Smith wins this one, he will go on to the finals! This is it,it's coming down to brass tacks now! Andru Edwards: And Johnny Smith certainly isn't the sharpest tack in the bunch! I don't think he'll be able to pull this one off! Andy: And his opponent, to be accompanied by Coach Hill, weighing 258 pounds, from Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, here is "The Canadian Cougar"Rory Christianson!!! Dan: Christianson is a very sound technical wrestler, with an impressive amateur background. He already beat the talented Daron Foley earlieron; can he pull off an upset over this veteran of the mat wars and advanceto the finals? Andru Edwards: I don't think a victory over Johnny Smith could be considered an upset! Smith's past his prime, out of his element, and he's got a bum knee to boot! I'll tell you right now, things aren't working in hisfavor! Dan: Christianson right out of the gate with a double leg tackle on Johnny Smith! Now he immediately begins working on the bad leg! Andru Edwards: This kid's good! He pays attention! Dan: Smith rakes the eyes, and Christianson releases him! Smith now back up, and he nails the Cougar with a series of haymakers! Smith whips him into the corner, and now an elbow to the jaw! He's pounding away at him! The referee warns Smith to stay out of the corner, and Smith yanks Christianson out of the corner and sends him into the ropes! On the rebound, Smith catches him with a lariat! Now he drops an elbow onto him, and makes a cover! Only a one- count! Rory back up to one knee, but Smith slaps on a front facelock! He brings him back up to his feet, and a DDT puts him down! Smith again makes a cover, but Christianson kicks out! Christianson now rolls to the outside to consult with Coach Hill, but...Smith follows him out! Now they're trading punches! Christianson overtakes Smith, and now he whips him into those steel steps! Johnny Smith hit the steel knee-first! Andru Edwards: It's over! The guy's as good as crippled! Dan: Rory Christianson gets back in the ring, while the referee puts the count to Johnny Smith! The Golden Boy is hurt! He may not be able to get back in the ring before the count! Andru Edwards: He may as well give it up right now! Dan: Smith's struggling to his feet, but that knee is visibly damaged! The count's still going.... 7 ...8. ...9..... Smith just barely rolls back in, and Rory Christianson immediately goes after him! He's got him up! BOO-YA!!! Great White North! Now he sets him up in the center of the ring, and...there it is, the Cougar Leglock! Smith's in agony! You can see the pain on his face! Smith's reaching for the ropes, but he's a long way off! Andru Edwards: Give it up, Olden Boy! You're finished! Dan: Christianson's got it locked in tight! Smith now trying to reverse it! He's trying to turn him over! He's getting him over...no, Christianson rolls back! Now he's up on his elbows, adding more leverage to the modified figure-four! Smith is screaming in pain, but he's not giving up! Andru Edwards: Before you say anything, Dan, I'll tell you right now that that's not courage--it's stupidity! Dan: Smith leans back to alleviate some of the pain, but the ref counts his shoulders down! 1...2...Smith yanks them back up! Smith again reaches for the ropes, inching his way over! Christianson rocking back and forth, putting the pressure on that knee! How much more of this can Smith take? Again, Smith relaxes his shoulders, and the ref puts the count on him! 1...2...again, he gets the shoulders up! Andru Edwards: It's over! He's done for! Stick a fork in him! If he were smart, he'd quit while he could still walk! Dan: Smith stretching, he's almost at the ropes! He's reaching for them, he can't quite get them! Christianson jerks back and forth, trying to drag Smith away from the ropes! Smith drops his arm! And he also dropped his shoulders! The ref checks the shoulders, and....1 ....2. ...3!!! It's over! Andy: Ladies and gentlemen, the w inner of this semifinal match: Rory Christianson!!! Dan: Now the official forcing Rory Christianson to relinquish the hold! Johnny Smith is unconscious! We need some medical attention for Johnny Smith! Andru Edwards: What we need is the maintenance crew to come get this big piece of trash out of the ring! Dan: Rory Christianson advances to the finals of the Inoki Cup, but what about Johnny Smith? Will he be ready for his match against Chandler Stone on Wednesday? Andru Edwards: Forget that, the question is will the guy be smart enough to realize that he has no place in a wrestling ring anymore?
