AICW Monday Night War January 5, 1998 Key Arena, Seattle, Washington. Andy: HAPPY NEW YEAR AICW FANS!!! Are you ready for another great year?! Andy: Please welcome Dan "The Man" Chan and Dima Lerminskiy! Dan: Welcome everyone to Monday Night War! I am Dan "The Man" Chan and with me is Dima Lerminskiy! Dima, I gotta ask you, what does that shirt stand for? Dima: That's DIMA "The Russian Powerhouse" Lerminskiy! Dan: That's what the 100,000 stands for? Dima: No. This is my I.Q.! Dan: I wouldn't bet that much money on it. Anyways, we've got a great lineup for you tonight! In our main event, Elvis will defend the AICW Television Title against Stephon T. Davis! What do you think of that one? Dima: This Elvis is too fat for active competition, and this Stephon T. Davis is not worthy of the title! Dan: Let me guess, a Russian is worthy? Dima: Absolutely! It's a scientific fact! Dan: What about the match between "Hardcore" Henry Thunder and Blackjack Takahashi? Dima: Thunder is not as tough as he says, but this Blackjack Takahashi is from Japan. Japan makes terrible cars! Us Russians build the best cars in the world! Dan: I was unaware of that. Well, in addition to those great contests, we'll also see Gino "Knuckles" Valentini take on Mr. Lover Man. The Pain Connection will make their long anticipated debut against the Reign of Terror. "Mr. Universe" Tommy Drummond takes on "Hot Stuff" Harry Huckleberry. We'll also see the debut of Ebola Zaire as he takes on Robert "The Natural" Butler. Plus, "Pretty Boy" Troy Walcott will make his debut but first we've got the debut of the Caribbean Mercenaries. Hang on tight folks, this is gonna be a great night. Dima: It could be better. Dan: Let's go to Andy! Andy: Our opening contest is scheduled for one fall! In the ring to my right, at a total combined weight of 458 pounds, the team of Dennis Widmyer and Jon Curtis! Their opponents, led to the ring by Jaime Rodriguez, at a total combined weight of 486 pounds, here are Hector "Chico" Gonzalez and Joe "El Diablo" Gutierrez, the CARIBBEAN MERCENARIES!!! Dan: These fans giving the Caribbean Mercenaries a very warm welcome here! And they're every bit appreciative of it as you see both men signing a quick autograph at ringside! I like these guys already! Dima: They are weak already! They care too much about the fans! Dan: There's nothing wrong with that! Dan: The bell has rung and Hector "Chico" Gonzalez will start this match off against Jon Curtis. Both men lock up, but Gonzalez sneaks in a nice European uppercut! He caught him off guard. Gonzalez hooks Curtis in and picks him up for a vertical suplex! Well executed! Gonzalez with a quick tag to Joe "El Diablo" Gutierrez! Gutierrez in and he brings Curtis back down with a lariat! That one sent Curtis all the way to the other side, and Curtis reaches up to tag in Dennis Widmyer. Dima: This match lacks strategy! Dan: I have to disagree! Widmyer charges, but Gutierrez with catches him with a belly-to-belly suplex! Powerful move! Both men up and Gutierrez with a dropkick! Down goes Widmyer and now Gutierrez waiting. Widmyer up and Gutierrez puts him back down with a superkick! Gutierrez with a tag into Gonzalez! Gonzalez goes up to the top! Widmyer gets to his feet and Gonzalez with a flying dropkick! He covers him and Ryan Gentle counts, ONE.....TWO.........THREE!!! Andy: The winners of this contest, at a time of 2 minutes flat, the team of the CARIBBEAN MERCENARIES!!! Dan: Impressive debut for this great team! You have to agree that they have a bright future here in the AICW! Dima: Hah! If they are lucky! They may have had success elsewhere, but that doesn't mean that they'll be successful here! Dan: You have a point, but I think they'll do great! Up next, we'll see the debut of "Pretty Boy" Troy Walcott! Let's go to Andy once again! Andy: This next contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from Massapequa, New York, weighing 240 pounds, Tommy Johnson! And his opponent, led to the ring by "Elegant" Johnny Edwards, from "Pretty City", Connecticut, weighing 247 pounds, "PRETTY BOY" TROY WALCOTT!!! Dan: Is this guy arrogant or what? Look at him swatting the hands of the fans like they were flies or something! Dima: There's nothing wrong with being arrogant, but if you can't back it up like us Russians, THEN it's wrong! Dan: Look at Johnny Edwards carry that mirror around so that Troy can look at himself! Who does this guy think he is? Dima: He is nothing! This is all act of intimidation. Dan: Well, at least the ladies seem to like him! Dan: There's the bell, and young Tommy Johnson looks ready for action, but Troy Walcott telling referee Ramon De La Cerveza to keep him away! Johnson charges at Walcott and he nails him with a clothesline! Walcott up and Johnson with another! Johnson playing to this crowd and he's on fire! Walcott up again and now Johnson charging again! Walcott with a hiptoss! I think Johnson went too well once too often! Walcott now whips Johnson to the ropes. Johnson back and Walcott with a nasty clothesline! Johnson did a 360 in mid-air before hitting the ground! Walcott showing the youngster how it's done. Dima: But his timing was well off! If he would execute the moves properly, he would be able to pin him now! Dan: Walcott going up to the top rope now! Johnson gets to his feet and Walcott takes him down with a clothesline off the top rope! Nice move! Walcott now peeling Johnson off the mat and he nails him with an inverted atomic drop! Walcott hooks up Johnson and nice suplex into a bridge! He calls that the Pretty Plex! ONE.....TWO......THREE!! Walcott wins this one! Andy: The winner of this contest, at a time of 3 minutes and 21 seconds, "PRETTY BOY" TROY WALCOTT!!! Dan: Impressive debut from Troy Walcott! I think many of us and especially Troy himself feel like he'll do very well for himself here in the AICW! Dima: I doubt it. Dan: Tonight is a night of debuts here in the AICW! We've had such a surge of incoming talent lately and tonight is our first opportunity to get a look at this new talent in action. We just saw "Pretty Boy" Troy Walcott in action, and earlier on we saw the Caribbean Mercenaries. Up next we'll see another great addition to the tag team ranks, The Pain Connection! They'll be taking on Reign of Terror, which is no pushover! The tag team action is hotter than ever! Let's go to the ring! Andy: This tag team contest is scheduled for one fall! About to come down the aisle, led to the ring by Christina O, weighing in at a total combined weight of 490 pounds, here are "Sadistic" Steven Dunne and "The Masochist" Danny Moore, THE PAIN CONNECTION!!! Dan: This is the first time we get to see these guys in action live although they've certainly made their presence felt as members of the Demonweb! Steven Dunne pretty much ignoring this crowd while Danny Moore seems intent on inciting it! This guy is a complete maniac! He's arguing with a little boy! Dima: That is because this Masochist is a boy as well! Andy: Their opponents, led to the ring by Ali, at a total combined weight of 450 pounds, Abomination and Armageddon, REIGN OF TERROR! Dan: This should certainly be a great contest! Reign of Terror representing the Four Souls Out of Hell! Both teams look ready for action! Dan: There's the bell and it looks like Danny Moore and Armageddon will start things off! Danny Moore charges Armageddon and starts punching away! Danny Moore is relentless in his attack! Armageddon backed against the ropes, Moore sends him to the other side! Armageddon back and Moore with a dropkick! Armageddon goes down and Moore drops the knee right on the forehead! Armageddon grabs his head and now Moore executes a handspring into a legdrop right across Armageddon's throat! What a move! Moore now picks up Armageddon and he gouges the eye! No need for things like that! Referee James Roma warning him about that. Dima: He should be fined and disqualified! Dan: Moore now tags in "Sadistic" Steven Dunne. Dunne takes Armageddon down with an armdrag. Dunne now picks him up and whips him to the ropes. Armageddon makes a quick tag to Abomination but gets nailed with a reverse knife-edge chop! Dunne turns his back and Abomination with a bulldog from behind that takes Dunne all the way to the mat! Armageddon rolls back to his corner and now Abomination sets up Dunne for a powerbomb but he can't get him up! Dunne now with a back bodydrop and Abomination holds on for the sunset flip! ONE....TWO......NO! Dunne kicks out of it! Both men to their feet and Dunne with a quick chop to the throat! He sets up the smaller man and brings him over with a snap suplex! Well executed by Dunne! Dunne wasting no time in picking up Abomination once again, and this time he plants him with a belly-to-belly suplex! Dunne now making the tag into Danny Moore. Moore goes straight to the top rope! Dunne hoists up Abomination and Moore comes off the top with a swinging neckbreaker! What a devastating move! Moore covers Abomination! ONE.......TWO......THREE! Andy: The winners of this contest, at a time of 4 minutes and 42 seconds, THE PAIN CONNECTION!!! Dan: Impressive showing here by the Pain Connection against Reign of Terror! Ladies and gentlemen, we've got to a break now, but when we return, we'll see the match between Ebola Zaire and Robert "The Natural" Butler, "Mr. Universe" Tommy Drummond takes on "Hot Stuff" Harry Huckleberry, we'll hear from Johnny Payne, and much more! Stay with us!
