Kevin Elster is back on the Texas Rangers, and I am one very happy fan! Not only is he arguably the most handsome man in baseball, but he is also one of the most reliable short-stops around. Ask any of the media, fans, and players in town, and they'll agree. You can always count on Kevin's fielding, turning exciting double-plays with his second-base partner, Mark McLemore. He swings a hot bat, too, racking up 24 home runs and 99 RBI's in 1996. During 1997 he was on a pace to better those stats while with the Pittsburgh Pirates until a wrist injury left him in the dugout. Much to the Rangers' good fortune, circumstances after that injury led to his return to Texas. Click here for more on the story of his return. |
Sad news! Kevin has been placed on the 15-day Disabled List due to a dislocated shoulder that is still giving him pain. Sources say he should return to the lineup by June 18. I'm sure all his fans wish him a speedy recovery!
