a/k/a Heavy Hitter
Canadian born university student, Kevin White, has established himself as one of Canada's most promising and multi-talented entertainers. Kevin's acting has seen him take the stage in numerous school and community productions. In 1997, Kevin finished filming his first feature film "Another Planet". He played one of the lead characters in Up from the Roots play "Lot 1975", and he is also an actor with Plaitform Entertainments comedy troop. Kevin is an extremely talented hip hop performer who has brought positive messages to audiences from Hamilton to Montreal. Known musically as the Heavy Hitter, Kevin's positivity has landed him many opportunities to perform his material, culminating with an appearance on TV Ontario for a special program on eradicating racism. Kevin's knowledge of the drums, piano, bass, and guitar enhance his musical creativity. Kevin is an integral part of Up From The Roots Entertainment, where he is given the opportunity to bring his love for music to another level. Kevin remains down to Earth by believing that his talent is a gift from God that can be taken away if not used productively and positively. His spirituality is evident as he is a core member of his church choir. Kevin believes that there is a debt that he owes to the community that has supported him over the years. Because of this, Kevin can often be found having motivational conversations with other young people about life and music.

Kevin just recently completed his second session as Hip Hop Facilitator for the Central Neighbourhood House. Kevin is a young man, whose ambition and amiability are bound to bring him the success he seeks, and is working towards. If one does not know Kevin now, it will only be a matter of time before his name is on the tip of every tongue.
