Geylang Road junction of Paya Lebar Road, not far from City Plaza -Chow Tou Foo or stinky Beancurd. POWER!!! The stench is enough to make my gf cover her mouth & nose the whole duration when we were there and also afterward when I talk to her with my stinky mouth. She almost fainted...hahaha!!
â
Frog Porridge : the store near Lorong 5 is more delicious and a lot cheaper. The set package - for S$22/- can get 5 normal size frogs plus a claypot of porridge. Good value for money. For the same price the one opposite the beef kuah teow offer only 3 frog. Big different !!!â
Lorong9, along Geylang Road - Beef Kway Teow. The best there is, the beef is tender and not too rare while the gravy is just nice with a tinge of chilli & pepper.â
Roast duck rice at GL L13 at the Sims Ave endâ
Beijing Steamboat - I like the Beijing steamboat on the main road near Lor 17. Very traditional and good value. For those who visited or stayed in Beijing will know what I meant.â
Lorong19&21, also - Pig Organs Soup. Sedap!!! The soup fiery taste was enough to make me sweat constantly while eating there.â
Geylang Road junction of Lorong22 & Aljunied Road, Malay foodstall outside GhimPeng Hotel - Lotong. This has got to be one of the most tastiest Lotong gravy I've ever tasted along with it's rice cakes, at least from the other Lotong that I've tasted so far.â
Dumbling : Oriental Dumbling House - on Lor 22 toward Sims Ave. Very tradition and good Northern chinese food. Very complete range of Chinese food not commonly find in S'pore. Good value and comforatble.â
Scissor cut ( "Kar To Jian ) at Lor 25, I think. Their curry rice is wah piang eh!!â
Lorong25A, along Sims Avenue just outside Aljunied MRT Stn - Dim Sum.One of the few places in Singapore still using metal bowls for their Lor Mai Kais, taste as good as it looks. Must try!!!
â
"Sik Wai Sin" located at 287 Geylang Road. It is somewhere near the Shell Petrol Kiosk. The place sells cze cha and it is not air-conditioned.Usually packed. You must order the Steam Fish Head and pepper prawns with beadcurd. Try and go with a friend else the food is too much for you.
â
