The win snapped Toronto's three-game losing streak and evened its preseason record at 3-3-0-0. Markus Naslund and Peter Schaefer scored for the Canucks, who lost for the first time in five NHL exhibition games (3-1-1-0). Combined with center Andrew Cassels, Naslund and Schaefer have formed Vancouver's top line in the preseason with 17 points in three games together. The Maple Leafs had a power play in the final minute and pulled goaltender Jamie Hodson for a 6-on-4 advantage. But Guerin intercepted a clearing attempt at the Toronto blue line and scored into the empty net with eight seconds left.
