MANCHESTER UNITED
The Managers - Alex Ferguson

Many say that Alex Ferguson is the greatest manager Manchester United have had, his domestic record surpassing even Sir Matt's, but at the time of writing, despite twice getting to the semi finals, Fergie has never won the European Cup - his ultimate dream.

Born: Govan, Scotland; December 31st 1941

First United Match: 8th November 1986 v Oxford United, away. lose 2-0

As manager of Aberdeen, Alex Ferguson had broken the domination of Rangers and Celtic, by guiding the Dons to 3 Championships, 4 Scottish cup wins and a European Cup Winners Cup win.
He started slowly at United, waiting 4 years for his first trophy, winning the FA Cup in the 89/90 season, beating Crystal Palace 1-0 after a replay. Since then, United have been untouchable, winning the double twice, the Cup Winners Cup, League Cup and two other Championships.
