Ryan Storm
This past weekend, the wrestling community lost a great person and a great wrestler. Three Warren Hills students were killed in an auto accident. Among the three was Warren Hills 140 pounder Ryan Storm, who had recently advanced to the Region 1 tournament.  Please join the Pit Online as well as the entire Phillipsburg Wrestling program and extend your deepest sympathy to all three families.

I will never forget the name and person that you are. You were one of the driving forces in making me into what I am today.
I will always talk about you with the respect you deserve.
I will always hold a place in my heart for you.
God Bless You,
Jarrod Hahn
I just can't believe this tragedy. My heart goes out to these boys’ families. I hope especially the adults who read this forum, put things into perspective. Does that state title matter that much now? I know as a parent every once in a while we all need a smack to the head to place priorities where they should be. I hope everyone who reads this and finds out about this horrific accident, slows down and realizes that wrestling is not everything and the state title is not everything. LIfe is so precious!!! One minute A/C was what it was all about and the next minute these families are hit with something that will change their lives forever. My prayers are with all of the families.
Ryan was a great wrestler and will be missed!
There is nothing more tragic than to have lost a child. My heart goes out to Bo and his wife.
I am observing a moment of silence for Ryan Storm and the two other students that were killed in a
Motor Vehicle accident on Sunday March 1, 1998. I offer my Deepest Sympathy to all relatives and friends of all three students.

My deepest sympathy to the Storm family, the Warren Hills students and fellow wrestlers and coaches. New Jersey wrestling has lost a good one. Living in Phillipsburg and being a wrestling fan, I have been able to see Ryan wrestle on many occasions. One of the things I admired about him most was that he never quit, gave it 100% every time he wrestled. An example of this was just two days ago on Saturday when he wrestled against P'burg's Joe Doran in the semifinals. Doran was leading 13-6 late in the bout when Storm flipped Doran to his back, nearly earning the fall. If it was not for the clock expiring, he may have been in the finals. Hopefully, there will be a moment of silence observed this week at Region 1 and across the state.
All of us who have followed Warren Hills Wrestling would like to send out our deepest sympathies to the Storm family and the families of the other young men. We would like to say that Ryan has left us with a multitude of very fond memories. Anyone who watched him wrestle had a deep appreciation for the skill and workmanship that he brought to every match. He and the other young men will never be forgotten.
My thoughts and prayers are with Ryan's family right now.
Why did it have to be him, he was such a nice kid and a good wrestler. it's gonna be hard to livewithout him. The wrestling community has suffered a great loss. My deepest condolances to his family and friends.
For RYAN STORM:
"For the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave
you nor forsake you."  -Deuteronomy 31:6

For RYAN STORM'S FAMILY:
"He will wipe every tear from their eyes." -Revelation 21:4

For ALL:
"Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perserverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom he has given us."

Words could never really say what I feel in my heart for the loss of your son. May you find some comfort in the words of God.

On behalf of myself, my family, and the St. Joseph's wrestling team, my heart goes out to the family of Ryan Storm. Although I never knew him, while watching my brother Chris I have followed him as he wrestled through the recreation program and high school. The Storm family will be in our prayers.
