WWF Raw is War Report for May 4, 1998
Hosted by Jim Ross, Michael Cole, and Jerry Lawler
Taped from Richmond, Virginia

Mick Foley Interview.
The "Love Shack" scenery was used for this interview, but Dude Love was just Mick Foley. Foley basically thought he deserved the WWF World Title. He then said he would not suck up to Vince McMahon, nor would he use the Dude Love gimmick anymore. Foley then called out Vince McMahon. McMahon explained to Foley, once you lose to the champion, you are no longer the number one contender. He said he booked the Terry Funk vs. Mick Foley no holds barred Raw is War match, because it was a reward, not a punishment, as Foley previously thought. As McMahon continued to scold Foley, Stone Cold Steve Austin came out. Austin tore up the "Love Shack" set-up, and taunted Vince McMahon.

Rocky Maivia and Owen Hart defeated Faarooq and Steve Blackman via Pinfall.
Before the match started, Sgt. Slaughter demanded that Kama, D-Lo Brown, and Mark Henry return to the locker room. In a match that had great saves, along with excellent team-work, it resulted with Jeff Jarrett attacking Steve Blackman. Rocky Maivia and Faarooq were fighting on the outside, letting Owen Hart cover Blackman.

We saw a special look at Gerald Brisco, that was narrated by Vince McMahon. Footage of Brisco's life was shown, and to conclude the showing, Brisco thanked Vince McMahon for making what his life is today.

D-Generation X Interview.
When The New Age Outlaws discussed how LOD 2000 and Disciples of Apocalypse would never be able to defeat them, LOD 2000 may their way out. LOD challenged D-Generation X (including X-Pac) to an 8-Man tag team match that would happen later in the show. DX immediately accepted.

Dan Severn defeated Savio Vega by making him submit to an Armbar.
Vega was able to make Severn struggle somewhat. However, after Severn locked an armbar on Vega, Vega immediately submitted.

Before WWF went to a commercial break, Paul Bearer and Jerry Lawler started to have a conversation backstage over Bearer being Kane's father. Bearer explained to Lawler, Undertaker's mother seduced him, and that is how he became Kane's father. Both of them laughed away, not knowing the cameras were rolling. When WWF came back from a commercial break, Jerry Lawler apologized to Paul Bearer, WWF officials, and fans for his and Paul Bearer's conversation being shown on air.

We saw a special look at Sable, featuring highlights of her training for an upcoming match with Marc Mero.

Marc Mero and Jeff Jarrett went to a No Contest.
Jarrett was given an introduction by his promoter, Tennessee Lee, and he walked down a red carpet. A match never begun, because Steve Blackman attacked Jarrett, with a brawl being continuous and going on around the ring. A decision was never announced, making it a No Contest.

D-Generaton X vs. LOD 2000 and Skull and 8-Ball match resulted in a No Contest
Before the referee let any action get underway, he demanded Sunny and Chyna return to the locker room. Sunny went back, but Chyna stayed, because she would take X-Pac's place. X-Pac was then told to go back to the locker room. Tags were continuously made amongst both teams, and Chyna was able to wrestle. From out of nowhere, LOD 2000 and D.O.A. started to attack each other outside the ring, and then took it all the way back to the locker room area.

Goldust w/Luna defeated Kane w/Paul Bearer via Countout.
Kane dominated Goldust throughout the entire match. However, The Undertaker came in and attacked Paul Bearer, followed by Kane. Kane and The Undertaker battled it out all the way back into the locker room, leaving Kane to be counted out.

We saw another Val Venis promo. This one took place in a jungle, along with porn-star, Jenna Jameson.

Mick Foley defeated Terry Funk with a Tombstone Piledriver.
Stone Cold Steve Austin did color commentary during this match. Pat Patterson was the guest referee. Whenever Austin's headphone set wasn't working, he knocked out Jerry Lawler. Foley's and Funk's match went around the entire arena. At one point, Foley and Funk took it all the way to a concession stand. When they returned to the ring, Foley finished off Funk, nailing him with a Piledriver onto a chair. When Austin went after Foley, Foley accidently put the Mandible Claw on guest referee, Pat Patterson. Austin delivered a Stone Cold Stunner to Patterson. Afterwards, Vince McMahon came out dancing with two women. Mick Foley went up to the two women and Vince McMahon, and once again became Dude Love. The show went off air with Dude Love and Vince McMahon dancing.
