Last week, the Rock warned Ken Shamrock that his 'luck' streak was about to end, because in seven days he would face Faarooq!!! The World's Most Dangerous Man and the leader of the Nation battled back and forth inside the ring, as Kama, D'Lo and Rocky kept a close eye on things. The Rock jumped on one side of the ring apron to distract the official, while Kama hopped up on the other with a chair he was hoping to plant Shamrock with. Ken was able to reverse the momentum and send Faarooq flying into the steel, knocking him down and allowing Shamrock to apply the ankle lock submission for the win. After the bell sounded, Kama and Faarooq became involved in a heated discussion outside the squared circle, while The Rock and Ken seemed as if they were going to start their Royal Rumble match early. Suddenly, Stone Cold Steve Austin came out of the crowd, entered the ring, hit them both with the Stunner, and disappeared back in the crowd.
Following up on his promise to restore respectability and tradition back to wrestling, Jim Cornette brought two National Wrestling Alliance officials to Raw who agreed to award the NWA North American Championship to the winner of a match between Jeff Jarrett and Blackjack Windham. Windham was setting Jarrett up for a Superplex, when Cornette came in and walloped him with his trusty tennis racket. The big Texan was knocked down and Jarrett was able to register the three count to win the belt. Austin came in the ring again, this time though he not only hit Jarrett with the Stunner, but went on to mock him by imitating the infamous Jeff Jarrett strut.
Skull and 8-Ball of the DOA defeated Recon and Sniper of the Truth Commission. Unhappy with his factions' loss, Kurrgan made his way to the ring and a wild melee ensued.
Owen Hart took on Savio Vega as D-Generation X watched the action from the stage. Hart recorded the victory, but was then attacked by Los Boricuas who delivered an injured Owen Hart up to D-Generation X, finalizing some sort of a one-time business deal between the Boricuas and DX.
A disheveled Paul Bearer came to the ring to announce that he has lost Kane. The monstrous brother of the Undertaker has disappeared and the bulbous funeral parlor director has no idea where he is. Bearer went on to proclaim his love for Kane plead for him to come home.
For his match against Flash Funk, Goldust decided to dress up as if he were auditioning for a role in the remake of Shaft. Sporting a rather large afro wig, a handful of gold chains, and bell bottom hip huggers, the Artist formerly known as Goldust put Flash away courtesy of the Curtain Call. Vader then jumped in the ring to attack his Royal Rumble opponent, quickly forcing him back to the locker room.
Marc Mero and Tom Brandi battled to a no contest when Stone Cold once again entered the ring to send a message to a fellow Rumble competitor. This time Mero was the recipient of the Stunner, and the lovely Sable seemed to have her eyes fixed on the Rattlesnake as he walked away. Also of note in this match, Marvelous Marc was thrown out of the ring and landed on Sable. Instead of seeing if she was okay, he yelled at her for being there. Brandi came out to help Sable up and as he held her in his arms, Mero delivered an elbow off the ring apron, knocking both of them down.
The New Age Outlaws were victorious over the Headbangers. Bad Ass Billy rolled up Mosh for the three count, after Thrasher missed with a Stage Dive from the top rope. As Road Dog and Billy celebrated in the ring, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie interrupted the party and sent the champions running for cover.
Shawn Michaels came to the ring to call out the Undertaker, saying he didn't want to wait until the Rumble to beat his dead @#$!!! The exact same casket that HBK jumped out of last week was rolled out. Shawn was calling for Hunter to come out, conceding that they had been playing a joke, but suddenly HHH and Chyna appeared on the top of the ramp. The casket door opened and the Undertaker jumped out!!! The Dead Man grabbed Michaels inside and apparently put a beating on the Champion.
