MATCH REPORT

"From Hell To Heaven"

I just cant get over the scoreline, to go to the hell hole of Istanbul and not just get out alive but to absolutely masacre the Turks.

The Gala fans never let us down with the constant drumming and flares being fired off in every direction.

Gala started off the brighter team, but once Chelsea got into their stride there was only one team in it.

Chelsea's first effort on target  from Gus Poyet was a wonderful half volley that the   goalkeeper was at full stretch to save.

You sensed that Chelsea were stepping up a gear and that a goal was on the cards.

And on 32 mins Flo shocked the home fans with a truly wonderfull individual goal from a great ball from Zola, a goal never looked on, but somehow Flo skipped round the defender and fired a angled shot into the corner of the net.

At last the drums were silenced,  and very faintly you could hear the travelling Chelsea fans giving a truly memorable
"One Man Went To Mow"

If you thought Flo's first goal was great, his 2nd goal in the 2nd half was even better, Poyet heading the ball back into the box from a deepish cross to find Flo, who managed to chest the ball down, pivot and fire the ball into the corner of the net, "a absolutely brilliant goal"

The plaudits must go to my man of the match, Zola who was simply inspirational and gave the Gala defenders a torrid time.

Just when you thought Chelsea would be happy with a
2 goal advantage, into the frame comes Zola with a brilliant piece of majic, a long ball launched into his path, beating the offside  trap and running onto it, drawing the goalkeeper off his line, then have the cheek to round him and fire the ball into a empty net, in my household watching the game on the box, we all went berserk, wonder what the neighbours will think of us.

A truly wonderfull sight was seeing the Turks leave the stadium in their hundreds and hearing the Chelsea fans taking the piss with "
We Can See You Sneaking Out"

I for one thought that 3-0 would be the end of the saga, how wrong I was, more goals were to follow from the 2 players brought on as subs
interstingly one goal from Dennis Wise who was apparently rested for the game .

A well taken goal with a first time shot that he really could not miss on 79 minutes, and to round off a historical night, Ambrosetti finally getting on the scoresheet with a crossfield shot that the goalkeeeper had no chance of stopping on 87 minutes.

Was this all a dream , nobody would of gave you any odds for this result happening in the bookies, and the result as cleary sent shockwaves right through Europe.

"WATCH OUT EUROPE HERE WE COME"

We extinguised the inferno, went to hell and ended up in heaven.

Bye Bye Galatasaray
