The Summer of '98 held many great memories for us, the first being Lady Avalon's old freshie master and Angel showing up at Lady Avalon's door to invite her out for coffee, despite the fact that she was standing at the door in cut-offs and a bra.
We owe our friendship to "The Freshie Master." He and Angel had become close friends after getting caught in the elevator (No, it's not what you think. We were dressed up as Charlie Brown and Lucy and were singing through our warm-ups. No, really, we were!). Anyway, his friendship is what brought us together, and for that we are grateful, even though we know there are times he regrets it! :)
This first encounter led to pumping our bodies so full of caffine that we had a midnight grape war; caffine-induced shopping sprees; our ritual of going out for coffee and bread wedges (are you sensing a pattern?); "The Freshie Master" trying to drive while teaching a Spice Girls dance to Angel; driving around the city at 1 a.m. looking for a place that would serve us food, only to wind up at a truck stop on the highway, and our favorite pastime, BINGO with "The Freshie Master" (O69!)
Still, there was one thing we could not agree on: professional wreslting. Angel was hooked, but Lady Avalon's opinion was, "What's the point of watching two overweight men in spandex pretending to beat each other?" (Lady Avalon speaking: FORGIVE ME!)
It happened that one fateful day we were sitting in Angel's car when a certain "Dick" was sitting on the hood, good-naturedly but deliberately trying to p*** us off. Our friend, who was in the car with us, dared Angel to give him a little "love tap" with the car, saying, "We'll watch wrestling tonight (it was Monday), if you do." The next day at school, the first words out of Lady Avalon's mouth when she saw Angel were, "BIG BOSS MAN'S BACK!!!" This marked a turning point in our lives.
This brings us to the present. As you can see, our friendship, as well as our love for wrestling (especially Kane and the Undertaker) has grown and continues to grow to this day.
So, now you're asking, "Why 'The Wine Cellar'?" Well, our big plans for the future include getting drunk and watching porn with "The Freshie Master" (No, really, we're not sick weirdos, we figure it's just one of those things that you've got to do at least once in your life!)
Until then, we'll just have to be content with eating cookie dough and watching RAW.
