Prolouge

The feud went back millions of years, when the earth was young and hell was on earth. Undertaker ruled it all with his firm hand and strong powers. But something changed. When humans evolved, he tried to destroy them all. In the end, he was defeated, but spawned the greatest enemy he had ever faced, Kane. He was a boy when Undertaker, himself, burned his face and his entire family. When Undertaker was defeated, he was banished to a place far away from humans to once again rebuild his army. But for a different reason. Before he was banished, Undertaker had a child born to him. The child was powerful, but was killed by Kane because Undertaker was blind to the danger and power of Kane. Undertaker swore he would take revenge and foresaw that his child would be reborn as a human with mythical beauty and would have such immence powers that she could kill Kane and bury his army forever, a feat Undertaker couldn't do. She would be reborn two times, once has gone by and she was killed by Undertaker so Kane couldn't turn her against him. It broke his black heart, but it had to be done. She could kill Kane, but also him. He could either take her in, or destroy her. But she was yet to be born one more time...

Chapter One

"This has to be the most boring class of 2010," said Cleopatra to her best friend, Crystal.

"Science is supposed to help us sleep better, I heard!" Crystal said. "You know, there is a party later today. I hear it is goin' to be hot!" Crystal said. She was the social person of the school and to miss a party was criminal. Cleopatra was not much for parties, especially when all they will do is get drunk, and in trouble. But sometimes, it is worth it.

"Where and what time?" Cleo asked.

"Ten o'clock, at the old mansion," Crystal said, "You need to get a tan anyway."

"It is going to be at night!" Cleo said laughing.

"So, I finally get you out of your house and your nightmares. See ya!" Crystal yelled as the bell rang.

Cleopatra's face darkened at the thoughts of her nightmares as she walked through the halls . A man enters and talks to her. In one, a man who is cold and has a hard deep voice tells her, "Look deep in you and she will see the reason you was born. I am your true father, redeem me" She would see fire and lightning, and she would wake up in a cold sweat and begin to cry.

When she finally got the courage to go back to sleep, she would see a man, covered in red and black material with a mask on. It looked like the fire that surrounded her. She was so hot, she would cough and not be able to breath. He takes her by the neck and says, "We are ment to accomplish a great task. I can't do it alone. Come to me."

She never knew what these dreams meant, and it happened every night. The party will help me calm down, and the dreams will go away she thought. She was still mad that Crystal brought it up to make people think she was insane.

Scowling, she left the school and began to walk home. She got two blocks before something began to bother her. She felt like she was being watched. She turned around and no one was looking at her. But everything, every snap of a twig and swish of the wind, caught her sensitive ears. So, you can imagine her suprise and fear when a gloved had shot out from the trees and grabbed her by the throat.

Chapter Two

The grip was hard like a clamp and she barly got a cry out before her mouth was covered, and a strong male voice said, "Be quiet, I don't want to slice your throat, but I will. Will you scream if I take my hand away?" Total terror gripped her as she shook her head in a negitive gesture. "Good," said the voice before she noticed something very familiar about the voice.

"CHAD?!" she said.

"Yeah, it's me. Had you fooled, didn't I beautiful?" he said as he went in to plant a kiss on her lips. Even as he did, she gave him a smack so hard it almost took off his head. "What the hell was that for?" Chad asked, holding his nose as it began to bleed.

"For scaring the heck out of me, that is what! I am goin' home!" Cleo said as she turned to leave.

Picking himself up off the ground he said,"I am sorry, I will see you at the party, right?"

" Yeah, you will." she replied coldly.

Chad had been her boyfriend for two years and had a talent for playing pranks on her. She was going to this party, and she would meet someone else and get rid of Chad. He was a no good idiot. She wanted better. She wanted nothing less than perfect.

Chapter Three

The only problem she had was to find the right dress. She chose a short, black skirt that fit like a second skin. It was beautiful. Lucky for her, her parents where in Florida. If they saw it, they would freak out. Her perfect body ensured her that she would get a lot of guys attention.

The mansion was on the top of a hill, overlooking the ocean. The full moon shined on it and made it look like a ghost house. She was giving her face the last spot check before she went inside, when a voice whispered in her ear, "It is time to join me, little one." She turned around to see nothing there, but then remembered who's voice it was, the man with the mask on his face. The one where she was surrounded by fire. Scared, but not wanting to be alone, she ran inside. All around her, she heard a mocking laughter that rang in her ears, making them hurt.

She was glad to be inside the old building. Bright streamers covered every inch of the ceiling when she walked in. The festive surroundings made her come temporarily out of her frightened and upset mood. This is it. I can relax and have a good time she thought.

"Hey Cleo, I didn't know if you would show your pretty little face," said Jess. She was a popular girl who was ever jealous of Cleo's charm and good looks. "I heard you dumped Chad. Too bad; hes mine now."

As if on cue, Chad came up and put his arms around Jess' waist. "Sorry Cleo, you were just too uptight," Chad said as he hugged Jess. Cleopatra was so hurt and mortified as everyone laughed at her that she ran up the two flight stairs, and ran into a room. She hit the old sheets and covers and cried herself into an uneasy sleep.

Chapter Four

It was hot. She was on fire. "Now is your chance to be on my side. See who you really are and where you belong." It was the masked man! His hand went to her face, but didn't touch it. "You belong with me," he said. She was screaming in agony as the flames consumed her in a flick of the man's wrist.

Cleopatra woke up screaming. She heard a giggle as she rose from the bed. Jess and her gang, including her new boyfriend heard her scream and started to laugh. All of a sudden, she was taken by a fit of rage she had never known before. Before she could stop herself, she flung open the door. Chad tumbled in and landed at her feet. As he looked up, he saw not Cleopatra, but a monster from his nightmares. It's teeth glittered in the moonlight as it reached for him. Before he could even cry out, the teeth were buried in his neck and draining his life away. He struggled, but briefly. Then he slumped with his eyes open and mouth twisted in the face of the horror he just saw. Two more apeared in the room, and took a screaming, kicking Cleopatra into a circle of light and disappeared.

Chapter Five

The circle of light took them to a cave, somewhere hot and very damp. Cleopatra was waking up from fainting after what must have been a prank. It was a dream, a nightmare. It was not real she kept telling herself. Slowly, she opened her eyes to see three men. One was bulky and seemed too full of muscle. The two others were tall, but very skinny. They must have been brothers. "Hey Gangrel, that was very cool how you killed the boyfriend. She must have wanted to kill him anyway," the one with the long leather coat said. Cleopatra closed her eyes again. They killed Chad. How could they? What monsters are they?

"I think the little one is awake," said the smallest vampire. "I can sense her thoughts, she is scared," he said. Opening her eyes slightly, she saw that the leader was moving toward her in the almost dark room.

"Get way from me!" Cleopatra screamed as she tried to back away.

"Calm down, we are not going to hurt you," said the one with the leather jacket. The leader grabbed her by the wrist, and she yielded to her first impulse: punching him in the face. She watched him fly across the cave and hit the ground in complete amazement and wonder. The brothers decided to back off a little as their leader recovered.

"OK, maybe we started off on the wrong foot. I am Edge," said the leather coat vampire. "This is my brother, Christian, and our leader, who you hit, Gangrel." Gangrel growled hello, but that didn't calm her down.

"You killed Chad. Why? And what do you want with me?" Cleo said, a little unsure of what else to say.

"Chad was killed because he made you upset and unhappy. We had strict orders to keep you happy. Even if we have to kill," Gangrel said.

"Who gave you orders? WHAT DO YOU WANT WITH ME?" Cleopatra asked, on the edge of hysteria.

"The spirit of a powerful being was reborn, and you are she. Your father sent us to protect you, and to bring you to him before you are found by HIM," Edge said with a snarl.

Cleopatra was calming down; she didn't know why. "Who is him?" she asked, almost in a whisper.

"His name is Kane. He is the enemy of your father and wants to use you to kill your own father. You, and you alone, have the power to kill your father," Gangrel said.

"This, this Kane, what does he look like?" Cleo asked.

"He wears red and black and is always surrounded by flames."

Cleo almost fainted again. " He was the man in my dreams," she said, "He said that I belonged to him."

The three vampires exchanged glances, going into full-blown panic mode.

"HE KNOWS SHE IS HERE. WE MUST LEAVE AT ONCE!!" Gangrel said. Edge scooped up Cleopatra and waved his hand in front of her face. In that instant, she feel into a deep sleep, as the Brood entered another flaming circle.

Chapter Six

Cleopatra slowly came to from the trance, and became aware of her surroundings. She was in a room. Slowly removing the covers over her, she went up to the big wooden door. She heard murmurs that she couldn't understand. I have to get out of here she thought. She ran to the windows and saw they were barred. On the edge of despair, she heard someone approach her door and turn the knob. Acting on instinct, she crouched in the corner and shrank from sight. She then saw the man who walked in the door.

He was 6'10'' and had long, dark hair that ran to his shoulders. What startled her the most was his eyes, which she could clearly see were green. But nothing prepared her for his voice that boomed around her. "SHE IS GONE! WHERE IS SHE?" His voice scared her so much, she fell from her hiding spot and landed at his feet. Getting a good look at him she knew who he was.

"You are the man from my dreams!" she yelled, terrified and furious at the same time.

Looking at her, his deep green eyes cut through her growing fear and calmed her down. " The dreams where not meant to hurt you, my child, only to warn you of the coming danger," he said. He tried to sit next to her, but she quickly jumped up and ran to the shadows. "You are my daughter," he said, "Millions of years ago, you were born. Then Kane came along. I was a power hungry tyrant and he was human. I killed his family and burnt his face. He has wanted me since. Legions say that only my own flesh and blood, my daughter, could kill me or Kane. She would have powers beyond anything known. Most of all, she would have beauty. But, I have a war to wage with him. If he would have gotten you first, he would have killed me.

"I have no powers. I am just a girl," Cleo said.

"You lie to yourself; you will find them out when you need them most. However, if you leave the protection of this mansion, or the care of the Brood, you will be captured. I am sorry, but if it looks like you will be caught by Kane, I will kill you." Saying this, Undertaker walked out, and the Brood came in to comfort Cleo, who knew she would never see her family again, and also that she was thrust into a war where her so-called father would kill her rather then she be caught and used as a tool to kill him.

Chapter Seven

There was no comfort, only turmoil inside Cleopatra. Well, maybe I can get out of here using my powers he said I have she thought. Going to her window, she took the bars in her tiny hands and pulled with all her worth. Nothing happened. "Oh, great! " she said aloud to herself, "Where are the powers when you need them?" Feeling something was wrong, she walked to her door and gave it a push. It was locked. She was ready to cry and sob when she remembered something. Reaching up to her hair, she located a bobby pin. "It worked before on T.V.," she said. Bending the pin to a key design, she put it in the lock and moved it around to get the general idea of how the lock was shaped. She suddenly felt a slight bump, and pushed with the pin. Her reward was a very magical sound: click. Pushing on the door, she peeked out. There was no one there. Straining every muscle in her body to be silent, she walked lightly over the black stone floor. Walking by, she couldn't help but notice that the pictures around her were hellish images of people. Their faces where twisted in a ball of agony. Their hollow eyes screamed at her. Tearing, she quickly moved on. There was a statue in the other end of the hall. It was illuminated by a single candle. It was a huge statue of a man, with emerald eyes and flames surrounding his hands. He was dressed in a robe of some sort that covered him entirely.

She pondered the statue and found it familiar. Where, she didn't know. All of a sudden, she was an Egyptian princess, dressed in gold and fine silks. She was not sitting on a throne, but running down the halls of the castle. Tears streamed down her face as a man in a red and black reached for her. This man she had seen many times in her dreams. Before she could move another inch, she was grabbed roughly from behind. A man just as big as the first held her, grabbed her head by the side, and viciously jerked it to the side...

Waking suddenly, Cleopatra was crying and had crumpled to the floor. The man who claimed to be her father had killed her before. He will kill me again if I don't leave now she thought. She quickly jumped up and began to run, but she didn't get far...

Chapter Eight

Six pairs of hands shot around her and pulled her into the shadows. Before she could scream, she was gagged and tied. "We told you not to leave the room! He would have killed you if he saw you!" It was Edge. Working her mouth under the gag, she made her wish clear.

"We will remove the gag if you promise not to scream or make any noise," Gangrel said. Nodding her head, they removed the gag.

"Get me out of here. If you are my protectors, help me before he kills again!" Cleo said.

"We are to protect you from Kane. Undertaker would have killed you if he saw you loose. He is making plans to attack Kane once more. He can't risk you getting caught. Kane will force you to kill him," Christian said.

" I want to kill him! He has killed me before!" she yelled hysterically.

Before she could get out another word, she was regagged. Struggling, the Brood took her back to her room, and told her everything. How this all began and how she was in it. When they were done, she was speechless. "You must never leave the room. For your own safety," Gangrel said.

We must go now. The final battle in upon us. If we lose, Kane will get you and chaos will reign. But if we win, the universes full of life will be saved," Edge said. With that said, they left.

The Brood went back to the Undertaker to report. He was getting ready, putting on magic armor. "Is she locked in her room and unable to leave?" the Undertaker asked.

"Yes, but why not bring her with us? She can defeat Kane," Christian said.

Undertaker spun around and punched him so far, he hit the wall with a sickening thud. "You fool, she can turn on me. She is confused. She can also be captured and kill me," he said, "The final battle is upon us. Kane must die here and now. It is the Way."

Before the Undertaker could say another word to the Unholy Trio, he heard the splintering of wood, and the scream of Cleopatra cut short sharply. The Brood had already gotten there when they saw blood and that the door had been bashed in with fire. There were signs of struggle, and he heard the laughter of Kane ringing in his ears as he roared into the night.

"Cleopatra will be killed in battle. I will kill her before she is used against me," Undertaker said as he prepared to go. The Brood only looked at each other and a silent command seemed to pass between them. Before the Undertaker could turn his head, he knew what they were doing. Before he could react, they disappeared in a ball of light. Undertaker knew they where going to Cleopatra. The Brood were his most trusted minions, he would have to kill them, too.

Chapter Nine

Cleopatra became aware of a slight burning in her head as she regained consciousness. Feeling for the burn, she saw she was bleeding really badly. Ripping off a part of her black skirt, she pressed it to her head. Looking around her, she saw nothing but a single light given by one torch. Trying to stand, a wave of dizziness passed through her as she sank back onto the bed. Moaning, she thought about where she might be. All she remembered was she was sitting, locked in the dreadful room. Then, something broke her door and punched her in the face.

"Nice," she said aloud, "I must be in hell now."

"No, but you can't get any closer then this," a deep, rumpling voice said to her. Screaming, she fell off the bed and began to look around her. She saw nothing. Fighting the worm of panic rising in her chest, she ran to the torch. Picking it up, she swung it in a circle. She hit something solid and saw the flaming part of the torch was in the hands of a giant man. Before she had time to catch her breath to scream, his huge hand was around her throat, choking off her air. Then, a face began to materialize from the darkness around her. The face wore a mask.

"You, from my dreams! " she screamed at the figure as he let her throat go.

"You are the one," the man said.

"Get away from me! Help..." Cleopatra tried to scream, but was quickly gagged and restrained by the man. Throwing her on the bed, he tied her to the post.

"If you don't listen, you will die. Now hush and be still," the man said. His voice and the manner at which he held himself made her wise to shut her mouth.

"Now, my name is Kane. I am sure the Brood told you. Your father burned my face when I was younger. He destroyed all I had dear to my heart: my wife and my family. I have wanted revenge. And now that you were reborn, you will help me kill him," Kane said, as if it was a known fact. Cleopatra shook her head, and said some audible things through the gag. Reaching forward, Kane ripped of the the cloth gag.

"I will not help you! You are a beast, an it! You hear me! He will help me and when he finds me....."

Kane quickly replaced the gag. "I have not lived several centuries just to be shot down at the last chance at my revenge. So you will help me willingly, or I will force you," Kane said calmly.

"You have nothing to force me with! Such a thing doesn't in this universe," Cleopatra snarled from under the gag.

"Yes, I do," Kane said. Lifting his hand, a circle of fire appeared in front of her. And contained in the circle, was the Brood. When they saw her, they tried to run to her. Flames shot up immediately, cutting them off. "If you help me, I will spare their, and yours. But..." his voice hardened, "If you chose to fight me, they will die a slow death. I am good at that. The same fate will befall you, too."

Cleopatra was close to crying as she saw the Brood all shaking their heads, yelling no. But there was no fight left in her. "I will do it," she said in a small voice. Kane finally stepped into the light and she saw all of him. His suit and mask of red and black flames materialized in front of her. In his hand, he held a long knife. He handed it to her.

"You will kill him with this, " Kane said. The knife was long, and had the Undertaker's symbol on it. It was made of dark diamonds. "You can only kill an immortal like the Undertaker with his own knife. Also, his own blood must do it," he said.

"Why me?" Cleopatra asked in a pitiful voice.

"Because the powers that lay inside you will enable you to kill his guards. You will have them. And no tricks, I will have my hand at Gangrel's throat. Fail me, and he dies. Oh, one more thing. I have an outfit for you. It suits you," he said in mocking laughter as he disappeared with the Brood.

The outfit was black leather pants. They were tight, yet allowed her to move freely. Then, a long, black leather jacket that reached her feet. The jacket was sleeveless and it showed her arms. It clicked together right above her breasts, showing her belly and upper chest. Then, these wrist bands that were 4 inched long. When she flexed her wrists, blades popped out. Next, she put on long leather boots with a thick heal. Put inside her jacket was a long whip and the holder for the dreaded knife. Finally, she was ready. Then, she wondered how to get there. Just as the thoughts popped into her mind, she found herself disappearing in a flaring flame.

Chapter Ten

Before she knew what happened, Cleopatra was at the mansion of the Undertaker again. Suddenly feeling invincible, she walked boldly forward. She pushed the heavy door that lead to the entrance. Much to her surprise, it popped open easily.

Before she could take another step, four hands grabbed her and began to try to apply a sleeper hold. Before the one could complete the hold, she spun around and gripped the back of his head in her hands. She pulled it to the back and then side. Every bone in his neck was broken. The second man ran at her, at a speed she didn't expect. She brought her foot up, and in a quick move snapped her powerful foot across his face. He was flung back like a rag doll. Smacking the wall, he fell in a bloody heap.

Cleopatra stood stunned. She never knew she could do any of this, or even have the courage and the raw power to do it. But she did. Feeling even more invincible, she moved forth. In the dark, she saw like it was filled with bright lamps. Her ears heard talking from down the hall. All of this amazed her. Suddenly bringing the Brood to mind, she moved forth.

Hearing approaching footsteps, Cleopatra ducked into the shadows, which wasn't very hard. She knew two were coming. "Lord isn't very happy," person number one said, "His daughter could kill him and his most trusted servants are caught by Kane. He wants them to be killed because he doesn't want them to suffer under Kane's hand."

"Oh, really? I feel sorry for him," person number two said, "Evil only knows when she will strike..."

Before they could finish their conversation, Cleopatra grabbed them both and pulled them into the shadows. Taking her whip, she strangled one and asked the other in a very calm voice, "Where is the Undertaker? Talk, or your friend dies."

"He is down the hall, to your right in his personal chambers," he said fearfully.

"Is he alone? " she asked.

"No, he has all the best body guards. Viscera, Midian, and the Acolytes," he said.

"Good, now both of you leave or you will die. Get out and don't look back," Cleo said as the two men scrambled and ran away.

Putting her whip back in her coat, she began to creep down the hall. Then, seeing the door, she listened to what was inside. She heard five heart beats, all fast and very jumpy. She knew her entrance, and how she would do it. Killing everyone as fast as she can, she will then get the Undertaker. But the bodyguards, what powers do they have? * she wondered. Suddenly, a feeling began to well up inside her. She felt the raw power of this thing inside her. She knew now, she could easily kill everyone inside. Silently, she had the change.

Chapter Eleven

"She won't attack," The Undertaker said, "We have something she won't dare hurt." Too late, Cleopatra thought. She had missed the extra heart beat. She heard all too clearly the muffled cries for mercy. It was Crystal. Before she could stop, her muscles coiled as she sprang forward and splintered the wooden door. Standing in the doorway, she roared. She saw clearly in the dark. She saw six figures like it was day. She had morphed to a black panther.

All the figures stood and watched her. She in turn, stood her ground. "I knew you would come for me," The Undertaker said, "You don't want to kill me and I don't want to kill your friend. " He gestured with his hand at Crystal.

Quickly scanning the minds in the room, she knew their powers. She also knew their names. Midian, who was a master of spears, held Crystal. The two males who surrounded the Undertaker were the Acolytes. They read each others minds and were skilled at combat. The huge man who stood as her first challenge was Viscera, a beast of a man. His power was strength.

The Undertaker looked at her from underneath his robe and studied her black form with cold, green eyes. Cleo pulled back her lips and exposed her ivory teeth, that gleamed in the moonlight. That seemed to be the sign for the monster Viscera to attack her. Roaring, he ran at her, but she was ready. Leaping into space she landed behind him. Before he could turn, her claws ripped into his neck and she broke his spine with her teeth. His corpse slumped to the side.

This also seemed like the cue for Crystal to help herself. With all the mastery in centuries of martial arts training, she turned, and fell to one knee. Before Midian could move or avoid the blow, she lifted her arm forcefully up. Screaming in pain, Midian fell to his knees. Crystal did him the pleasure of kicking him in the face and breaking his nose. Screaming in pain, Midian called for help, but was cut short. Crystal morphed into a wolf and sunk her fangs into Midian's neck. He too slumped to the side as Crystal walked up to Cleopatra. There they stood, side by side.
