News is slow today, and the jerks at ESPN are becoming more and more inept when it comes to hockey highlights (DROP JORDAN ALREADY!!), so there is not too much to report today. NHL2Night showed a brief 2-second shot of Mike after an early Rangers goal. He looked like he was about to freak and pass out! In a 2-second span, he blinked three times...not even full blinks either. And he was chewing that gum like there was no tomorrow! Easy does it, Big Guy! (P.S. - The hair looked good though!)
In the continuing Salo Saga, Tommy dressed for last night's game and watched from the bench. Cous-Cous was sent back to the AHL, and Wade Flaherty was recalled but not used. Seems as if Mike is willing to give Salo another chance, but according to the Swede, Mike still hasn't talked to him about his intentions. Tommy is assuming that Mike is trying to move him as fast as he can. A possible trade would include acquiring defenseman Janne Niinimaa....yes, I said DEFENSEMAN. Hopefully, Mike won't panic and pull another Brewer, if ya know what I mean. :-P
