Comments

Don was the son of a Welsh miner, and his first sport was Rugby Union. He earned a Welsh Amateur cap with Barry Town, and eventually signed for Blues in 1934, choosing Birmingham ahead of Wolves and Huddersfield, as he considered the Birmingham area gave him a better chance of finishing his electrical engineering apprenticeship ! Don died in 1990.
