Comments: Selphie was adopted by parents in Germany, but she was born in Japan. She decided to use her 'dual citizenship' to skate for Japanese government, but she did not do well by herself, and she went to find a partner. She decided the country where she was raised would be a good spot. She found Zell, who was also struggling with his singles event. Zell was too muscular for hard jumps and Selphie could not land hard triples because she is skinny. Finally, they moved on to pairs skating.
