ARAB LEGEND NO.1 - PAUL STURROCK AKA "LUGGY"

Paul Sturrock is one of United's all-time greats, it is no accident that his career coincided, with the most successful period in the club's history in terms of honours both individually and collectively.
He joined from Luncarty Juniors in 1974 and made his first team debut later that year at the age of 16 against Juil Petrosani in a European Cup Winners Cup tie.
With the exception of The Scottish Cup he subsequently won every honour the domestic game has to offer and was named Player of The Year by The Scottish Football Writer's Association in 1982.
He hung up his boots at the end of The 1988/89 season and became 1st team coach at Tannadice.
He left to become St.Johnstone manager in 1993 and after five years has recently become Dundee United manager, taking over from Tomy McLean in 1998, back to his spiritual home.
