    This year's committee intend to build on a number of the key developments in canoe polo that previous committees have worked on to improve the sport. These range from developing the base of people around the country playing canoe polo and competing regionally and nationally; improving the coaching system to aid this process; examining the viability of developing George's Dock Wall as a new canoe polo venue; encouraging players to take up the challenge of refereeing; and suporting national team players competing in the 1998 World Championships in Portugal.
