With the tag of mid table mediocrity hanging over Town as the season draws to a close it was the Windsor  tennants v landlords derby match that the fans had to look forward to. On a lovely day at Stag Meadow it was however the landlords turn to show who's boss after the three previous league meetings between the sides had ended with Wokingham wins.

Going into the match Windsor had to be favourites. Wokingham were in a bad patch of form and were without a number of key players. Superb centre back Mitchell was suspended, club captain Turner was still sidelined with a long term injury, yougsters Inns and Tarring were injured and influential and top scorer Puckett together with Eursh Fearon were not fit. Despite this Wokingham started with Puckett who was blatantly not match fit and Fearon, also injured, had to come on early in the first half after Graham was stretchered off.

From then on Wokingham struggled and fell behind after only 15 minutes when a Windsor striker headed in from a cross from the right. This became 2-0 about 10 minutes later leaving Wokingham looking down and out. This silenced the rowdy Wokingham fans who could only stand and watch as Windsor continued to press for more and hit the woodwork twice in the first 45 minutes. At half time the horse 'Lucky Town' leading the Grand National with two fences left fell away and Town knew it wasn't their day.

Things didn't really improve after the break apart from a chance almost immediately from the restart when Town threatened to get one back. Soares find space in the box but had to cross instead of shoot but it was aganisingly to high for Fearon at the far post. Town were poor and failed to create any decent scoring opportunities with Windsor dominating play. They scored their third mid way ish through the second half and the game was dead. Wokingham fans raised the volume in the terraces towards the end of the game but it was a bad day for Town who were decimated by injuries and below par, not a good combination.
