This article comes from 19 year old Stephan Herma who lives in Siegen which is 100 miles west of Cologne in Germany. Stephan is a fan of Borussia Dortmund and Celtic. He visited our site in connection with wanting to become a member of our club and realise his dream of watching the Celtic play. We have since made him a honorary member of the club and hopefully help him realise his dream. Stephan writes this article to tell us of where his love of both these great teams originated.

I have been a Dortmund fan since 1989 and since a couple of years ago also a fan of Glasgow Celtic.
This is for many reasons,I am catholic,I love Scotland and Ireland and I love the way they play football(it should be we now Stephan-ED).they never hold back and really fight for victory.
As a Dortmund fan I have seen a lot of good times, but also some bad times. I think the most important thing a fan can give his club is loyalty and unconditional love, thats why you have to support a club you can identify with, this is the reason I became a Dortmund and Celtic fan.
When I first watched Dortmund I liked the way they played and fought, there were guys like Michael Zorc and later your very own Paul Lambert who did everything to win. They may not be the worlds greatest but they fought for every ball.
Alas today is not the case, there is more and more guys in the team who play only for money and not the team or the fans. It is also getting harder to identify with the team because of the amount of foreign imports in the side,it is not because I am racist but I think they should bring back the three foreigners rule,if not then I hope it is British players we sign because they have a great mentality for the game.
As I said I am also a fan of Glasgow Celtic and hope they can become the number one again in Scotland and kick the asses of the Rangers once again. I really dont like these punks!!!.

EDITORS COMMENTS. Thanks to Stephan for his article.I am afraid it is something we Celts can all relate to. Unfortunately I am afraid the situation will not change and we the supporters are as much to blame. As any team with high aspirations the fans demand instant sucess and that means expensive foreign imports, for some strange reason every country seems to think that because a player does not come from our country he is automatically better than our home grown talent. Also with the freedom of movement within european countries we will never see a limit to the numbers of continentals allowed to ply their trade in whichever country they choose.
