Chatsworth Region 795 - Divisional Rule Summary

All Divisions: The home team uses the north side of field.
All Parents and spectators must sit between the penalty boxes, and are NOT allowed on field
All Players Play at least ¾ of a Game
All divisions from U6 through U14 may ONLY substitute at quarter break, half time and for injuried players
Divisions U16 and U19 use free substitution
ALL All divisions enforce the no-slaughter rule. This means that the margin of victory should not be more than 5 goals.

U6 4 1/2 & 5 Year Olds Coed

7 VS 7
No standings are kept.
No Goal Keepers: players may play defensive positions, but no player may use their hands.
Fouls and Misconduct are punished by Direct Free Kicks only, no indirect kicks are used.
Incorrect Throw Ins are not punished by giving it to the other team; the player is allowed to try again. If a player takes 2 or 3 attempts and it is still not correct, the coach may have another player take the throwin, or the referee may just let the game to start with an incorrect throwin.
The Offside Law is not enforced
The assistant coach is NOT allowed on opposite side of field
Coaches allowed to go full length of touch-line, but not behind goal line.

No coaches on field

Half-time: 5 Minutes (May Be Off Field)
Game Time: 40 Minutes (20 Minute Halves - Players must remain on field)
If one team has fewer than 6 players the coaches should consider swapping players as necessary to balance the teams.

U8 6 & 7 Year Olds

7 VS 7
No standings are kept.
Goal Keepers - A child cannot play goalie for more than ½ of a game, if they do play ½ a game in goal they must play another quarter on the field
Fouls and Misconduct are punished by Direct Free Kicks only, no indirect kicks are used.
Incorrect Throw Ins: For the first 4 games of the season it is instructional, the same as for U6. After that incorrect throwins result in loss of throw in.
The Offside Law is not enforced
Coaches Only Allowed in Coaches Box on Team’s side of field

Game Time: 40 Minutes (20 Minute Halves - Players must remain on field)

Game Time: 50 Minutes (25 Minute Halves - Players must remain on field)
Game forfeited if team has fewer than 7 players. The coaches should consider swapping players as necessary to balance the teams and play a game just for fun.

U12 10 & 11 Year Olds

9 VS 9
Goal Keepers -If they play ¾ of a game they must play another quarter on the field
Coaches Only Allowed in Coaches Box on Team’s side of field
Half-time: 5 Minutes (May Be Off Field)
Game Time: 60 Minutes (30 Minute Halves - Players must remain on field)
Game forfeited if team has fewer than 7 players. The coaches should consider swapping players as necessary to balance the teams and play a game just for fun.

U14 13 & 14 Year Olds

11 VS 11
Game Time: 70 Minutes (35 Minute Halves)
Half-time: 5 Minutes (May Be Off Field)
Game forfeited if team has fewer than 7 players. The coaches should consider swapping players as necessary to balance the teams and play a game just for fun.
All soccer laws apply

U16 14 and 15 Year Olds & U19 16, 17 and 18 Year Olds

11 VS 11
Games are coordinated by Area and involve traveling to other locations within the Valley
Game Time: 80 Minutes (40 Minute Halves)
Half-time: 5Minutes (May Be Off Field)
Game forfeited if team has fewer than 7 players.
Free Substitution
