Martial Arts
Judo, Jio Jitso, Aaikido, Karate, Kendo, Kobudo Waaydo, Taikwando, Tang Su Do, and Kung Fu are some of martial arts known today.
On this page I will try to explain you about few arts.
1. Jio Jitso:
Jio Jitso is a Japanesse art. In 1876 the laws in Japan had forbbided using swords. The Jio Jitso was the only way the Samorai fought. The Jio Jitso is the "grandfather" of the Judo and the Aaikido. The Jio Jitso excists for almost 2000 years. "Jitso" means art or talent. "Jio" means gentel or soft.
2. Aaikido:
Aaikido means "the way of harmony"....In Aaikido you are learning how to win your opponent without "crash" on him. In few contries, the police officers learnes Aaikido in their training.
3. Kendo:
Kendo means "the way of the sword...". It is a Japanesse art which developed 650 years ago. This art is about fighting with swords.
4. Tang Su Do:
The Tank Su Do is a Korean art. It means "the way of Tang's hand...". In Tang Su do you use the legs in most of the moves. The Tang Su Do is very simillar to the Japanesse Karate. The Tang Su Do developed by Wang Ki in 1949 and it is based on the ancient Tang Su and Subak from Korea.
5. Kapoera:
Kapoera is a Brazilian martial art. It has been developed by African slaves in Brazil at the 17st century. There is a use of background music in all of the Kapoera lessons.
6. Taikwando:
The meaning of the word Taikwando is "the way of the leg and the boxing...". This is an art from Korea which very simillar to the Karate from Japan. The Taikwando is an Olympic sport which published by the high quality of the kicks in it. Many of the "Karatekas" from TV is actully using Taikwando and not Karate.
7. Kung Fu:
The way of the Kung Fu as it known today developed in Shaolin temple in Songshan mountain in north Chaina. The Kung Fu skills were taken from birds, bugs and some more animels. There are many styles of Kung Fu.
