Is He Planning To Turn Pro?

Frankly, I haven't heard anything definite. Some pages I visit say a definite yes, and others a definite no. Still others are being like me, unsure.

Some people are sure he'll take the incentive of fellow Olympic medalists Philippe Candeloro and Tara Lipinski. I personally hope he doesn't, because pro events are not as well covered on television as are eligible skating events.

If Ilia decides to wait around for Salt Lake City, he has many opportunities ahead of him. By the time the next Olympics occur, he will only be 24, around the age that all of the other gold medal hopefuls of this Olympics were.

All of us fans who want him to remain eligible will just have to keep our fingers crossed.

Ilia Getting Married????

I heard a rumor of this awhille ago, and I did a lot of research on it over a lot of fan pages. For anyone who heard this rumor and is wondering, here's what I found out:
1. Ilia does have a girlfriend, Maria Platov. She is the ex-wife of Evgeny Platov.
2. However, in an interview, Ilia said that although he loved her he was too young to get married.
3. Also, people who knew him in Marlboro said that they believed all of this to be nothing but a rumor.
